Pearl Insulations Private Limited (CIN: U27109KA1982PTC004795) was established in the year 1982. The company was fully acquired by Von Roll switzerland and was then renamed to Von Roll India. The company was renamed back to Pearl Insulations Private Limited in August 2025 after reacquisition by its original founder Mr. George Joseph.

The company is headquartered in Nelamangala, Bangalore, India. The company has its manufacturing units in Nelamangala, Bangalore and Mandideep (Bhopal), MP. We manufactures insulated wires and high-voltage & low-voltage VPI coils with state-of-the-art technologies and machines. Pearl Insulations has earned a strong reputation for delivering quality, reliability and innovation to the electrical industry.

Pioneer in Innovative products & technologies

The company has been a pioneer in several innovative products and technologies :

  • Introduced kapton covered conductors with high-frequency induction for traction motors as early as 1991 as an import substitute.
  • Developed corona-resistant wires for VFD motors.
  • Pioneered the use of glass-lapped conductors for generator stator bars.
  • Played a vital role in introducing VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) insulation system in many motor & generator manufacturers.
  • Played a significant role in introduction of impregnating resins for low-voltage and high-voltage motors & generators in India.

    New Bangalore factory

  • 1998

    Von Roll, Switzerland acquires 51% stake

    The world renowned company for electrical insulations systems Von Roll Switzerland acquires 51% stake

  • 2008

    Von Roll acquires 100% stake

    Von Roll acquires 100% stake in Pearl Insulations making it a wholly-owned subsidiary.

    Mr. George Joseph continued as President of Von Roll India.

  • 2011

    New Bhopal factory

    New Bhopal factory at Mandideep

  • 2023

    Altana acquired Von Roll

    Altana, Germany acquired Von Roll, Switzerland and all subsidiaries including Von Roll India.

  • 2025

    Von Roll India acquired by Mr. George Joseph

    Von Roll India was reacquired by Mr. George Joseph along with Mr. Rajarajan P.

    Company was renamed back to Pearl Insulations Private Limited.
